Berkeley Horticultural Nursery

We are a small family owned retail nursery, located directly across from the Golden Gate Bridge. Situated on just under two acres in Sunset Zone 17, we experience cool summers and mild winters. Our primary goals are to offer top-quality plants of all types to the public, to collect and disseminate information on anything garden-related, and to provide a pleasant atmosphere in which to browse through an array of horticultural products & accessories. We can provide delivery for much of the San Francisco Bay Area, but we are not set up for mail-order purchases.

Our plant specialties are too many to list in this introduction, but a few of our notable departments are CA Natives, Mediterranean plants, Roses, Camellias, Rhododendrons, Tropicals, Cacti, Bulbs, Fruit Trees, and Organic Vegetables. We encourage a sustainable organic approach to gardening; in fact we’d like to see more people get connected to their green roots. Our devoted and experienced staff looks forward to helping gardeners of all ages and levels, with any plant-oriented project. If you’re looking for the Pelargonium that your aunt used to grow, an unusual rose, a hard-to-find tropical specimen, or you just want to chat about chilling requirements for fruit trees, come visit our knowledgeable staff.
